Dr. Ralph Ortiz
Ralph Ortiz, D.O., MPH is the Medical Director of Medical Pain Consultants in Dryden, New York. He founded Medical Pain Consultants in 2002 with the mission of offering a critically important array of medical services designed to manage and alleviate severe and chronic pain. Dr. Ortiz graduated from Nova Southeastern University in 1998 and completed his residency at Palmetto General Hospital in Hialeah, Florida. While at Nova Southeastern University he also completed an Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Fellowship, and Masters of Public Health, which included work non-surgical orthopedics; including Trigger Point Injection Therapy, Regenerative Injection Therapy (RIT/Prolotherapy), Neural Blockades all used in Pain Management, and appropriate use as well as treatment with opioid analgesic medications.
Dr. Ortiz is Board Certified in Family Practice/Pain Medicine by the American Osteopathic Association. He has a Diplomate from the American Academy of Pain Management. Dr. Ortiz is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor and Active Teacher in Family Medicine and Pain Management for Wilson Hospital Family Medicine Residency, Johnson City, New York, and teaching residents.
Dr. Ortiz currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Tompkins County Chapter of the Medical Society of the State of New York (past president) and Founding Member of The New York Pain Society. He has also been an agent for the New York State Department of Health in the Office of Professional Medical Conduct. Dr. Ortiz has dedicated his medical career to the diagnosis and treatment of chronic pain.
